This Cookie Policy explains how quantrading.space (https://quantrading.space) uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them.
For how we handle personal data generally, see our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Local storage is a similar browser feature that stores data locally. Both can remember preferences or keep you signed in.
2. How we use cookies and storage
We use a minimal set of technologies. Analytics and marketing storage are off by default and only enabled if you click Accept.
2.1 Strictly necessary (no consent required)
These are essential for the site to function. You cannot opt out without losing functionality.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
qtsess | HTTP cookie (session) | Keeps you signed in to your account | Until browser session ends or logout |
qtcookieconsent | Local storage | Remembers your cookie preference choice | Until cleared / changed |
The session cookie is set when you log in or register. It contains a random session identifier — not your password or email.
2.2 Analytics (consent required)
If you accept non-essential cookies, we enable Google Analytics 4 cookies to understand aggregate traffic (pages viewed, approximate geography, device type). We use Google Consent Mode v2:
- The Google tag (
gtag.js) may load on the page so the service can run - Before consent (or after Reject):
analyticsstoragestays denied — GA does not set analytics cookies (ga,ga*) - After Accept:
analytics_storageis granted and GA may set those cookies
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Cookie (Google) | Distinguishes users for analytics | Up to 2 years |
ga* | Cookie (Google) | Persists GA4 session state | Up to 2 years |
We configure GA to disable Google Signals and ad personalization signals. We do not use GA for advertising remarketing on this site.
Google acts as a processor for analytics. See Google’s policies: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://business.safety.google/adsprocessorterms/.
2.3 Other non-essential storage (consent required)
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
qtemailstate | Local storage | Remembers whether you subscribed to or dismissed the newsletter popup | Until cleared in browser |
If you Reject, the newsletter popup will not appear and Google Analytics will not run.
3. Other third parties
We do not currently use third-party payment redirects for the course (it is free with an account). If you follow links to external sites, those sites may set their own cookies under their policies.
4. How to manage cookies
4.1 Cookie banner
When you first visit, a banner lets you:
- Accept — enable analytics (GA4) and newsletter preference storage
- Reject — use only strictly necessary cookies
You can change your choice anytime via Cookie settings in the site footer (opens the banner again). Choosing Reject after a previous Accept turns analytics back off for future hits.
4.2 Browser settings
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Instructions:
Blocking all cookies will prevent you from staying signed in.
5. Legal basis
- Strictly necessary cookies: Legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) — required for authentication and security.
- Analytics and marketing storage: Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) — obtained via the cookie banner.
6. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy when our use of cookies changes. Check the “Last updated” date on this page.
